We are a young non-denominational church with a deep and rooted love for God and our neighborhood. We consider ourselves a family. What holds us together is not ethnicity, education, income, or politics. We are a family because of Jesus and owe Jesus a common allegiance. Christ, his broken body and shed blood, are at the center of all we do together. We each come, bringing our unique stories, to journey life together as a community. It is not about uniformity, but unity, so that together we may live for something bigger than ourselves.
Kairos is a community seeking to join God in the renewal of all things. We are a group of friends that try to follow Jesus together by practicing regular rhythms of life while we go on mission together in response to Jesus’ commission to go and make disciples. We are an eclectic lot in an eclectic place. Located in North Los Angeles County, the Antelope Valley is a decentralized suburban community, full of some of the worst urban problems in all of LA and is surrounded by a rural desert landscape. Our church fully reflects this diversity in its composition. We value that Kairos is made up of teenagers, immigrants, bankers, ranchers, homeless, elderly, and children. We are expressing the kingdom of God through a network of neighborhood churches in the Antelope Valley and Los Angeles.
An interdenominational church committed to bringing a greater sense of love, joy, beauty, justice and peace to the neighborhood and to the world. We desire to help people live out their calling, walk with God, become people of welcome, embody the ministry of reconciliation and live faithfully in the story of God.
