In November we were honored to have Dr. Roger Olson, recently retired Professor of Theology at Truett Seminary and author of numerous books, including most recently, Against Liberal Theology. Roger helped us consider the “Chord of Continuity” that exists from the earliest days of the church and how we can stay the course amidst a cultural moment in both church and society that both directly and indirectly challenges the foundations of our Christian faith.

About Roger Olson:
Roger E. Olson is Emeritus Professor of Christian Theology at George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University in Waco, Texas (USA). He taught Christian theology for forty years in three Christian universities, most recently Baylor. He is the author of over twenty books of theology including The Story of Christian Theology and The Journey of Modern Theology (both published by InterVarsity Press). He is an avowed evangelical Arminian, a believer in God-given free will, and a critic of Calvinism. (See his book Against Calvinism published by Zondervan). Roger is multi-denominational having been Pentecostal, Baptist, Mennonite and Presbyterian. He has been married to his wife Becky for almost fifty years and enjoys playing with his four grandchildren.
