Description
From our 2014 Ecclesia National Gathering.
With much appreciation for N. T. Wright’s The Last Word (2005) and its expanded treatment in Scripture and the Authority of God (2011), we will journey into the precarious subject of what it means to embrace the authority of Scripture. Adding Webb’s “lesser authoritative lens” and a smattering of sample texts—Sabbath, monogamy, war rape, rod and whip, etc.—we will open up our own “biblical authority” suitcases and dialogue about their contents. Irony and intrigue abound.
